Three ways to experience the Hammam

Basic bath

The therapist runs warm water over your body while you lie on a warm traditional Hammam slab. Black soap is applied and left for approximately 10 minutes in the steam. The soap is then washed away, followed by exfoliation with a Kessa glove.

Bath with Hammam rituals

The basic bath is followed by a full-body Rhassoul mud mask, left for 10–15 minutes. The therapist washes it away, applies a nourishing balm with long stroking movements and finishes with a scalp massage.

Rituals with full-body massage

After the Hammam rituals, you take a shower inside the Hammam and put on a bathrobe. The experience continues in the adjacent massage room with a 50-minute full-body massage.

The 10-minute steam, 10–15-minute mask and 50-minute massage are individual parts of the described experiences, rather than their total appointment lengths.

Soap, clay and the Kessa glove

Moroccan black soap is used before washing and exfoliation. The Kessa glove is the textured glove used for the body scrub.

Rhassoul clay is the mud-mask element of the ritual options, followed by washing and balm. Choose the experience by its inclusions and discuss any product sensitivities with the team before your visit.

Bring spare underwear if possible. The salon says disposable underwear can be supplied if needed.

Contact the team about preparation, product sensitivities and anything that would help you feel comfortable. Discuss your preferences for clothing, therapist and room use when you enquire, so the arrangements can be confirmed for your appointment.
